James W Swift September 28, 1949 - October 8, 2014
James W. Swift, 65, of Plainfield, passed away October 8, 2014 in Indiana University Hospital West, Avon, IN. He was born September 28, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Harold and Myra Swift. Jim was a Hendricks County farmer and a self employed telecommunications tech retiring in 2008. A Memorial Service will be Sunday, October 12 at 4:00pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2:00pm until service time. He was preceded in death by a sister, Meredith Blubaugh, brother-in-law, James Blubaugh and son-in-law, Ted Paugh. Survivors include his wife, Dottie Swift; sons, Brian (Mary) and Kyle (Lindsay) Swift; daughter, Jenny Swift Paugh (Larry) Hoffman; brother, John (Rita) Swift; sister, Virginia Swith (Lloyd) Lindley; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 21 nieces and nephews. Prayers of comfort go out to Jim's family. I remember Jim from school, though I did not know him well. It is so sad to see how many young of our class of 68 have passed. Praying for God's richest blessings on his family.
