Services for Max Sanders, Jr., 24, 336 North Vine Street, Plainfield, a victim of leukemia, were Saturday at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield with the Rev. Sonny Hayes officiating.  Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.  He died Thursday at Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born August 16, 1948, in Indianapolis the son of Max and Merle Apple Sanders, Sr., he had resided in Plainfield for several years and was formerly employed at Standard grocery.  He was an army veteran serving in Germany.

Surviving in addition to the parents are a brother, Merle of Plainfield.
