NEDRUD, MELODY KAY Travelers Rest, SC Melody Kay Nedrud, 69, of Travelers Rest, passed away, Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Born in Grand Forks, ND, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Beverly Mellin Nedrud. Ms. Nedrud graduated from Indiana University with a bachelors degree in Mathematics. Melody formerly owned Kehoe Nedrud Insurance Company in Kalamazoo, MI, where she resided for forty-two years. Melody was an active member of the Kiwanis Club, where she was one of the first female members. Surviving are her husband: Col. (R) James "Jim" Stordahl; two step daughters: Lisa Bartro (Chris), of Redding, CT and Lesley Stordahl (Mike Smith), of Brooklyn, NY; one step son: Geoffrey Stordahl (Mary Ann), of Greenville; one brother: John Nedrud (Annette Wong), of Charlottesville, VA; one sister: Ruth Ann Polidori (Gary), of Morrison, CO; nine nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren, who called her Grand Mel. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in The Howze Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Suite A, Greenville, SC 29615. I remember when you were the "new girl" in school and in the neighborhood. It's never easy to move in as a Senior but you were so cool and smart. I had a great time getting to know you during school and later at IU. I imagine you went on to be an amazing woman. So sorry for you family. I have wonderful and funny memories.

I'm sorry to say I didn't know Melody, but she sounds like a wonderful person. As always it is so sad to have another one of our classmates pass. May she rest in peace and bless her family.
