Hard to believe it's been 50 years since we chanted and cheered our way through the hallways of Plainfield High School. On September 29th, 2018, we'll be cheering again and we can't wait !!!!
We are planning several activities for classmates to enjoy. We hope you can take advanage of as many as your schedules and travels allow. .
On Friday, September 28th, the girls of the class will gather for a pitch-in/picnic luncheon to chat, giggle, reconnect and share all the stories that we can remember, make-up or relive. Thanks to Charlie Morris, we'll gather in Hummel Park at 11am. We will be meeting in the indoor facility. Obviously, no cost/ticket required - just you, your smiling face and a dish to share. Please register if you can attend. Hummel has some great walking trails that lead all through Plainfield.
On Friday night, September 28th, we'll have an impromptu gathering at 6p for everyone who can meet for drinks and/or dinner on the patio at The Metro Diner located at 302 Dan Jones Rd.. No ticket is required. We need you to register if you and your guest plan to attend. View at https://metrodiner.com.
On Saturday morning, if weather permits, there will be a chance for everyone to play golf. This includes classmates and guests. Let Jane Marshall Coe know if you're interested and if you already have a foursome arranged. Please register on the site so we can advise Deer Creek how many to expect. Golf will start at 8a with a shotgun start. Cost is $30 for 18 holes. Contact Jane through her website profile or cell at 317-403-7737 with questions.
The big gala on Saturday night, September 29th will be at the Strides to Success location. We'll start the evening at 5p with a meet and greet where our own Dave Petty will provide entertainment. Dinner will be catered by The Coachman and will begin at 6p. Your favorite casual barn attire is perfect for a great evening. Wear your favorite boots or tennis shoes so you can participate in the games or dancing to DJ - Brittany Hope, in a fun, party atmosphere. No tickets will be issued for this evening. For anyone needing hotel accommodations, special rates are at the Staybridge Suites Indianapolis Airport and Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis Airport which are both located on Cambridge Way in Plainfield. Ask for code PHS and call 317-839-2700. They have only reserved 20 rooms for us. Also, for out of town guests, there is a shuttle from the airport to these hotels.
