Wonderful weekend!

I left Wisconsin knowing I would have a good time at our 45th.  I didn't know it would be so wonderful!  The reconnections had started months earlier thanks to the website and all the efforts by Charlie and Carol.  Almost like a private Facebook??  Hard to believe the facility the current students now have.  We all kept saying, "Wow!" as we toured around. On the other hand, not sure their education is any better than the one we received.  And they have never been able to say they had a basketball game rained out!!  I appreciated having the more casual time at the Coachman on Friday night.  First time to start catching up in person.  Such fun.  Nice to have all day Saturday to see others and see Plainfield--this is NOT the town where I grew up!!  Saturday night was lovely.  Thoughtfully planned and carefully executed.  Thanks to Rachel for organizing the entertainment.  Great to start out with Dave's performance!  Dee, Rachel, Kathryn and Roland continue in fine form.  Loved the spoof from "Sound of Music!!"  Dee is a consummate professional--such a pleasure to hear her perform.  Good food with top notch appetizers--thanks, Roland.  Very nice menu selection for the buffet and desserts!  Having the teachers join us was a special treat.  I suppose we were all so absorbed with ourselves that the 1969 protests escaped us (I will speak for myself at least!  no idea, but not surprised.)  It was a treat to be able to talk with them.  The bands were terrific---hope those guys have some idea of how good they sounded.  You never get to talk to everyone, but I kept thinking all evening that everyone still looks so good---just like I remembered them.  Thank you again and again Charlie and Carol for all your hard work and your vision to put this together.
