Mike Sessions

Michael W. "Sammy" Sessions, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the VA Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born May 1, 1950  in Conway, South Carolina.  As a young man, Sammy made the lifelong commitment of serving his country in the Indiana Army National Guard in Shelbyville, retiring after 40 years in 2009.  His distinguished career included meritorious achievement while participating in sustained aerial flight as a C-23 Flight Engineer while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, United States war on terrorism in Iraq.  Mike is survived by his wife, Terrie G. (Dormeier) Sessions; son, Rikk (Barb) Sessions; two daughters, Beth (Ted) Stephens and Ashley (Jason) Harpold; three grandchildren, Jami Sessions, Sarah Stephens and Timothy Stephens; and two brothers, Rick Sessions and Steve (Becky) Lewman.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary V. (Kennedy) Lewman.  Family, friends and others whose lives Michael touched are invited to a memorial service to honor him at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2017 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. Inurnment with full military honors will be held at a later day in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.

We had some really good times in high school.  Will definetly miss you.  If Rick is out there, Mike's passing must have happened right after your 50th reunion.
