Diane L Smeelink of Coatesville died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the age of 59.

Born September 26, 1950 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of Marian L. and Barbara L. Jewell Patterson.

Mrs. Smeelink graduated from Ball State University with an Associate degree in Early Childhood Development.  She worked as program director of the Hendricks County Head Start program for 25 years.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Smeelink: daughters and son-in-law, Shannon and Justin Beeler of Washington an Heather Newcomer of Greencastle:  a son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Jessica Smeelink of Dayton:  sisters -  Karen Ellis, Lisa Stevenson, Robin Fifer, and Angie Zediker:  brothers - Rick and Mike Patterson: and six grandchildren.

Services are 7pm Wednesday at Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville.  Private interment services will be held later.

Calling at the funeral home is for three hours prior to the service.
