Rhea Gentry (Thompson)

Rhea Jean Gentry Thompson, 68, of Elbert, CO, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2018 from metastatic breast cancer. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 21, 1950 to the late Ruth Jo and Norwood Gentry. Rhea attended Butler University's Jordan School of Music as a voice major. She had worked for Plainfield First National Bank, Inland Container in Indianapolis, Corrugated Box and First Data Corp in Denver, CO. She retired from Bank of America in Scottsdale, AZ. Rhea was an accomplished artist creating stain glass windows, beautiful jewelry using precious stones, gold and silver. Her memberships include PEO since 1975 and Tri Kappa. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in San Diego, CA. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Ken Thompson; son, Matthew Rhoden of San Diego, CA; step son, Ken Thompson II of Charleston, SC; sister, Jody Kaveney of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Jim Gentry of Los Angeles, CA and Manuel (Karen) Gentry of Plainfield, IN; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  To make a donation to Susan G.
