PLAINFIELD — “See you in September, see you when the summer’s through…” These song lyrics ring true for the Plainfield High School graduating class of 1968 as classmates gather for the 50th reunion Sept. 29.

Reunion organizers Jane Marshall Coe, Rachel Maxwell Johnson and Carol Wendt have posted all reunion activities on their class website, www.plainfield68.com. So far, 112 classmates have joined the site and the search continues for the other 52 to join.

Sadly, there are 24 classmates who have passed away and are remembered on the “In Memory” page of the website.

As part of the reunion weekend, the girls in the 1968 class will gather for lunch Sept. 28 at Hummel Park. That evening, classmates will gather at the Metro Diner. All the golfers will meet the morning of Sept. 29 at Deer Creek Golf Course, which is owned by classmate John Hall.

That evening, classmate John Anderson and his wife, Debbie, will host a party with the ponies at Strides to Success, www.stridestosuccess.org. Strides is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those in the community and to support the continued growth of the field of equine assisted activities.

The evening will be catered by The Coachman and will include music, games and the opportunity to reconnect with friends from across the miles and years.

If you know anyone who graduated as part of this class, please have them login to the class website or contact Carol Wendt at 317-459-0899 for more information.
